Site Editor

The Site Editor (sidebar → System & Tools → Site Editor) is where you design your public website. The center of the screen is your page — an exact preview of what visitors see — and you edit directly on it: click a post or a block, type, and it saves automatically. Use Preview site in the top bar to open the real site in a new tab.

Content is built from blocks: Text, Image, Video, Button, Columns, and Divider. Hover between blocks and a + appears to insert a new one; every block has a toolbar to drag, reorder, duplicate, or delete it. Selecting a block opens its settings in the right panel.

How do I edit my homepage posts?

Your public homepage is a posts feed — dated announcements shown newest-first.

  1. In the Home Page Posts section of the sidebar, click + to create a post. New posts start as Drafts: visible to you, hidden from visitors.
  2. Type the title directly on the card, and write the body right on the page. Use the + between blocks to add images, videos, buttons, or columns.
  3. Click Publish in the right panel when it’s ready — it appears on your homepage immediately. Unpublish hides it again without deleting.

The display date (right panel) controls feed order — newest first — even when the date is hidden from the card. The Show title / Show date switches hide either from the public card, which suits posts that are purely visual (a flyer, a sponsor board).

How do I add a cover image to a post?

Select the post and click Add cover image at the top of the card. The cover renders as a wide banner above the title. Hover it to Replace or remove it.

How do I add a page to my site’s navigation?

  1. In the Pages section of the sidebar, click +. The new page starts Hidden — it’s not in your site’s navigation yet.
  2. Name it (on the page or in the right panel). The name is also the page’s address: a page called “Sponsors” lives at /sponsors.
  3. Write the page using blocks, then flip Show in navigation in the right panel. The page appears in your public site’s top navigation immediately. Navigation order controls its position — lower numbers come first.

To take a page down, switch Show in navigation off (keeps the page) or Delete page (removes it).

How do I put content in columns, or place an image beside text?

Insert a Columns block from the + palette. Each column has its own + to add content — for an image beside text, put an Image block in one column and a Text block in the other.

  • Column count: 2, 3, or 4 (right panel).
  • Column widths: pick a ratio in the right panel — for example 1 : 2 gives a narrow image column beside wide text; 1 : 1 : 1 makes three equal columns for a sponsor-logo row.
  • On phones, columns always stack vertically so nothing gets squeezed.

How do I resize an image?

Select the image and either drag the round handle on its corner (a live percentage badge follows your drag) or use the Width slider in the right panel — the ⅓, ½, ⅔, and Full buttons are quick presets. Alignment (left / center / right), alt text, and an optional click-through link are in the same panel.

How do I add a video or a map?

Insert a Video block and paste a YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Maps embed link. It renders full-column at 16:9 on your site.

How do I edit the page visitors see before my first post?

Organizations with no published posts show a single welcome page instead of the feed (every new organization starts this way). Edit it under Fallback → Home (fallback page) in the sidebar. As soon as you publish your first post, the posts feed takes over; unpublish everything and the fallback page returns.

How do I show a notice above a division’s schedule?

Under Division Callouts in the sidebar, expand a season and pick a division. Whatever you write appears in a highlighted callout above that division’s public schedule — court changes, weather notes, playoff reminders. Leave it empty and nothing shows.

How does saving work in the Site Editor?

Everything you type saves automatically about a second and a half after you stop — the chip in the top bar shows Saving… / Saved. If a save fails (say your connection drops), the editor shows Save failed — retrying and keeps retrying; your edit is never dropped. The only explicit actions are Publish / Unpublish and Delete, which apply immediately.

Draft posts and Hidden pages are never visible to the public, so you can compose at your own pace and flip them live when ready.
