Admins, Roles & Settings

Add administrators, control what they can access, review activity, export data, brand your site, and manage league settings.

How do I add another administrator to my account?

Open the Admins tab (sidebar → Registration & Teams → Admins, at /admin/members) and click Invite to Organization. Enter the person’s first name, last name, email, and role, then send. You can also revoke a pending invitation, and promote or demote existing members.

What admin roles exist, and how are permissions controlled?

Staty uses two roles plus fine-grained scopes (there are no “Commissioner” or “Division Manager” roles):

  • Super Admin — full access to the organization.
  • Limited Access — a member whose reach is narrowed by Access Scopes: a checklist of specific Tournaments, Leagues, and Divisions they may manage.

Set a member’s role and access scopes from the Admins page (edit the member → Access Scopes).

How do I view the activity logs for my league?

Open Activity Log (sidebar → System & Tools → Activity Log, at /admin/logs). It shows a running audit of admin actions — who, what HTTP action (create/update/delete), which URL, and when — with filters by user, method, and URL.

How do I export league data or rosters?

Staty exports to CSV (there is no Excel/.xlsx export):

  • Teams and Players rosters — from a registration’s page (Exports menu).
  • Transactions — the Payments page has an Export button.
  • Divisions and Games — from the divisions grid’s menu.

How do I post announcements on my homepage?

Your public homepage is a posts feed: dated announcements shown newest-first (game recaps, registration reminders, schedule changes — with photos, videos, and maps).

  1. Open the Site Editor (sidebar → System & Tools → Site Editor). The center of the screen is a live preview of your page — you edit directly on it.
  2. In the Home Page Posts section, click + to create a new post. New posts start as Drafts — visible to you, hidden from the public.
  3. Type the title on the card and write the body in place; use the + between blocks to add images, videos, buttons, or columns. Everything saves automatically as you type.
  4. Click Publish in the right panel when it’s ready (it appears on your homepage immediately); Unpublish hides it from the public without deleting.

The date on a post controls its position in the feed — newer dates appear first. Organizations that haven’t written any posts yet keep showing their welcome page (editable under Fallback in the Site Editor). The Show title / Show date switches in the right panel hide either from the public card — the date still controls feed order even when hidden.

See the full Site Editor guide for pages, columns, image resizing, and division callouts.

How do I find the branding and layout editor, and upload banners?

  • Site Editor (sidebar → System & Tools → Site Editor) edits your public site’s pages and layout.
  • Banners — in Settings, the banner editor lets you upload a custom banner image or generate one with AI. See Generate Banners with AI.

Staty supports league banners (uploaded or AI-generated). It does not have a dedicated sponsor-logo uploader — add sponsor artwork through the Site Editor or as a banner image.

How do I change my league settings, and can I use a custom domain?

Open Settings (sidebar → System & Tools → Settings, at /admin/settings) to edit your display name, location, about text, contact emails, business details, feature toggles (registration system, statistics), payments/Stripe, and notifications.

Your public site lives at a <your-slug>.staty.io subdomain chosen when the organization was created. Staty does not currently support pointing your own custom domain (CNAME) at your site.

How do I edit email notification templates, and make sure managers get status emails?

Open Email Templates (sidebar → System & Tools → Email Templates, at /admin/email-templates). You can edit the Team Registration Confirmation and Payment Confirmation templates — their subject, body (with insertable variables), and an on/off toggle. When a team registers, Staty automatically emails the submitter a confirmation and notifies division/league/tournament admins; keeping the “Team Registration Confirmation” template enabled ensures registrants receive it.

Other transactional emails (waivers, finish-registration, admin notifications) are system emails and aren’t edited here.

How do I message team managers, or send fee-deadline reminders?

There isn’t a bulk “message all managers” broadcast, and automated fee-deadline reminders don’t currently send. To nudge people to pay or finish:

  • On a team’s page, select players and click Email selected to finish registration — each gets a link to the registration page where they sign in with that email to sign any required waiver and pay their share.
  • Resend registration invitation re-sends a single team’s manager their sign-up/pay link.

What do the breadcrumbs mean, and how do I get back to the dashboard?

The breadcrumbs at the top of admin pages show your location in the hierarchy (e.g. Home → Divisions → a division) and let you click back up a level. To return to the main dashboard, click the Staty logo or the Dashboard item in the sidebar (/admin/dashboard).
